Renault India atlast introduced Scala, the fifth car in the Renault gothrough this year marking the end of the first loop in India.Some has previously been talk about the sedan but the real test is still around the corner, when Scala will hit the streets. Scala came in both diesel as well as petrol versions.Petrol variant will be available in the RxE and RxL variants whereas diesel will be the RxL and RxZ variants.The 1498cc XH2 petrol engine cranks out 97.6bhp @6000rpm besides a torque value of 134Nm @ 4000rpm that generate a mileage of 16.95kmpl and the frugal 1461cc Renault K9K diesel mill devolopes more pulling power with 200Nm @ 2000rpm and a power figure of 84.8bhp which offers you a mileage figure of 21.64kmpl . The engines performance is elaborated and give assurance with the 5 speed automatic and manual gearbox in petrol whereas in diesel it’s going to be just the manual one.
